Today, Baojia Automation's flagship product, palletizing robot, has occupied 70% of the market share in China's feed industry. In Qingdao Baojia's robot showroom, in addition to the “Palletizing Robot”, there are also parallel sorting robots, sanding robots, dispensing robots, vision control robots, etc. These are all part of Qingdao Baojia's current product line. By now, Qingdao Baojia's palletizing robots have been upgraded to the fourth generation, which is one of the most leading performance palletizing robots in the industry, with up to 1,800 grips per hour, doubling the initial labor efficiency. In addition to its application in the feed industry, Qingdao Baojia is gradually expanding the application scenarios of industrial robots to the grain and oil, food and chemical industries.

“To do a good job in this industry, you have to know the production process of this industry, to plumb the industry, and know how to start solving problems after studying the industry process.” Gao Mingzuo said.

At the beginning of the introduction of foreign technology, the labor intensity of the palletizing system is in accordance with foreign standards, the grip is only 25 kg packages, while a package of domestic feed can reach 50 kg, the direct introduction of palletizing robots can not carry, there is too much wear and tear. Qingdao Baojia through independent research and development, from single-jaw to double-jaw improvement, increased the robot's gripping force, to meet the needs of the industry. After that, Qingdao Baojia developed the 130FA according to the high packing efficiency of the flour industry, increasing the efficiency to a maximum of 1,800 grips per hour.

In the past two years, Baojia has served many provincial food and condiment enterprises, such as Qingdao Foods Co., Ltd, Linghua Group, Beneficial Dairy, Yantai Shuangta, Shandong Qiaowei, and New Hope Qin, etc. By reducing a lot of labor through technological transformation, it has greatly improved their production efficiency.

A company's breakthrough requires continuous innovation

Gao Mingzuo attributes Qingdao Baojia's successful breakout to being able to continually innovate. “For a company to grow, it must continue to innovate and expand, and have the ability to serve more industries.” Gao Mingzuo said.

In order to continuously break through technical bottlenecks and solve innovation problems, in June 2013 Baojia invested 126 million yuan in the construction of a robot production base and introduced a world-class level of robot production lines.In April 2016, it set up a joint venture with Japan's Fusetsu Co. to establish the Robotics Application Research Institute, and introduced a number of Japanese senior experts.In June 2018, under the guidance of the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Qingdao Baojia took the lead in forming the Shandong Province Joint In June 2018, under the guidance of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Qingdao Baojia led the establishment of Shandong Province Joint Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute.

In order to better collaborate and innovate, Baojia focuses on win-win cooperation with its partners, and has created an industrial ecosystem including vocational education and training, universities and colleges, scientific research institutes, and enterprise customers. For example, it has jointly declared a number of national science and technology projects with Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China University of Petroleum (East China), Beijing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, Ocean University of China and other universities. As the company continues to grow, Qingdao Baojia's R&D investment also continues to increase, accounting for more than 5% of revenue. The R&D team has also developed from the original technology center to a national enterprise technology center with more than 150 people, with diversified support capabilities such as layout design, equipment R&D, and software development.
